The short version

Use Nudge to track your own habits. Don't try to break or abuse the app. Premium is an auto-renewing annual subscription you can cancel anytime in iOS Settings. Nudge is an informational tool — not medical, therapeutic, or professional advice.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nudge mobile app (the "App") and any related services (together, the "Service"). Nudge is developed and operated by an independent solo developer based in Vietnam. By downloading, installing, or using Nudge, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Nudge only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

2. The App's license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Nudge on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is additionally governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement.

3. Premium subscriptions

Pricing & billing

  • Premium is offered as an auto-renewing annual subscription at US $19.99 / year (or local equivalent set by Apple). Weekly ($1.99) and Lifetime ($59.99 one-time) options are also available.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase and at each annual renewal.
  • Prices may change. Any change will take effect only at the start of a new subscription period and will be disclosed in advance.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel anytime via iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Nudge → Cancel Subscription. Canceling stops future billing; the current period remains accessible until it ends.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled through Apple's refund flow at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue refunds directly, but we are happy to help you complete the request.

What Premium unlocks

Premium unlocks unlimited habits, advanced statistics, future journeys, and priority support. The core comeback, tier, focus timer, and 14-day journey features are free and will remain free. Note: data export (JSON) is available to all users on all tiers — it is not a Premium-gated feature.

4. Your content & data

You retain ownership of anything you type into Nudge (habit names, reflections, notes). Because your data is stored locally on your device, we do not hold your content or claim any rights to it. See the Privacy Policy for data-handling details.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or extract source code beyond what is permitted by law
  • Use the App in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with the App's integrity — for example by tampering with StoreKit to bypass payment
  • Use automation to exploit, stress-test, or scrape the App
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices

6. Not medical or professional advice

Nudge is an informational productivity tool. It is not a medical device, therapy, coaching service, or substitute for professional advice. ADHD-related content in the app (including the 14-day journey) is educational and derived from publicly available research. If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, consult a qualified professional.

7. Intellectual property

Nudge, its name, branding, code, design, and copy are the property of the developer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the license granted in Section 2, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Third-party services

Nudge integrates with:

  • Apple — for App Store distribution and StoreKit payments. Your use is subject to Apple's terms.

Nudge v1.0 does not integrate with any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising third parties. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.

9. Availability & changes

We may update the App, add or remove features, or pause the Service for maintenance. We will do our best to preserve continuity for Premium subscribers; if we materially reduce Premium value, we'll offer a pro-rated refund via Apple.

10. Termination

You can stop using Nudge at any time by deleting the App. We may terminate or suspend access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. Termination does not automatically cancel an auto-renewing subscription — cancel that through iOS Settings.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months, or US $50, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the developer harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Apple-specific terms

If you are using Nudge on an Apple device, you and we acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. Apple has no warranty, maintenance, or support obligations with respect to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, where the developer is resident, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this clause removes the mandatory consumer protections of the laws of your country of residence — if you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with stronger consumer-protection rules, those apply to you.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by a notice inside the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
