Privacy Policy
The short version
Nudge is designed to know as little about you as possible. Your habits, logs, and journey data live on your device. We do not have accounts, servers, profiles, or tracking pixels.
- We do not collect your habit data. It lives on your device and nowhere else.
- We do not sell or share data. There is nothing to sell.
- No analytics, no trackers. Nudge v1.0 ships with zero analytics SDKs. We do not know when you open the app or which screens you visit.
- Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see card numbers.
1. Who we are
Nudge is an iOS application developed by an independent solo developer based in Vietnam ("we", "our", "us"). There is no company, no parent organization, no co-founders. You can reach us at support@nudge-adhd.com.
2. What data we process
Stored only on your device
- Habit definitions (name, emoji, block, reminder time, micro-habit version)
- Habit logs (completion, skip, skip reason, timestamp)
- Journey progress (current day, completed steps)
- Your selected goal, onboarding completion state, preferences (Calm Mode, etc.)
This data is written via Apple's SwiftData framework to the app's private sandbox. It cannot be read by other apps and it is not transmitted to us.
iCloud sync (planned, not yet shipped)
iCloud sync is on the roadmap. Until it ships, all of your data stays on the single device you installed Nudge on. If you uninstall the app, your data is removed from your device. When iCloud sync arrives, this policy will be updated before the feature is released.
Analytics
Nudge v1.0 ships with zero analytics SDKs. We do not use TelemetryDeck, Firebase, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics service. We do not record app launches, screen views, button taps, or any other behavioral signal. We do not use IDFA, device fingerprinting, or behavioral advertising frameworks. If we ever add analytics in a future version, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Purchase data
Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple shares with us an anonymous transaction receipt we verify locally via StoreKit 2. We receive no card data, billing address, or your Apple ID email. For Apple's handling of your purchase data, see Apple's App Store Privacy.
Support correspondence
If you email us at support@nudge-adhd.com, we see your message, your email address, and whatever you send us. We keep it only long enough to help you, and we don't add it to any list.
3. What we do NOT do
- ❌ We do not run accounts or authentication.
- ❌ We do not host habit data on our servers — we do not operate a server for your data.
- ❌ We do not use third-party ads, SDKs for tracking, or behavioral advertising.
- ❌ We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers.
- ❌ We do not use IDFA or request the App Tracking Transparency permission.
- ❌ We do not scrape your contacts, photos, calendar, or any personal content.
4. Permissions the app may request
Each permission is optional and only asked when a feature needs it:
- Notifications — to deliver the habit reminders you schedule. Denying this only disables reminders; every other feature works.
- Haptics — system haptic engine is used in-app; no permission required.
Nudge never requests location, camera, microphone, HealthKit, contacts, calendar, or photo library.
5. Your rights
Because your data lives on your device (and optionally your iCloud), you have full control at all times:
- Access: open the app — everything is visible.
- Export (all users, all tiers): Settings → Export Data exports every habit and log as JSON. This is not a Premium-gated feature.
- Delete: deleting the app from your iPhone removes all local data. There is no server copy to erase.
For users in the EU (GDPR), the UK (UK-GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), Brazil (LGPD), and similar jurisdictions — because we do not store personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can exercise every right by managing the app on your device. If you still want to reach a human, email support@nudge-adhd.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
6. Children
Nudge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using Nudge in a way that violates this policy, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
7. Data retention
We do not retain habit data — it only exists on your device. Support emails are retained up to 12 months to maintain a continuous support thread.
8. Security
Your data is protected by iOS's standard app sandbox and encrypted at rest when your device is locked. The app does not transmit habit data to any third party.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. If the change is material — for example if we ever started collecting new data — we will surface an in-app notice before the change takes effect.
